OIDC in Pega 7.3

Hi, Greetings. I am on Pega 7.3 and we want to implement OIDC using OAuth as a SSO protocol. I know Pega supports OIDC from Pega 7.4 but we can not upgrade our application from 7.3 to 7.4 as our application is very complex and dependent for multiple pega applications.

I have following questions:

  1. We know OIDC is supported in pega 7.4 and it is not back-ported, as OIDC is outside pega can we implement custom OIDC using Java in Pega?
  2. Can someone provide me any pointers on how to start with? Has anyone implemented this?
