NullPointerException in SafeURL.put(key,value) in User Portal
In User and Manager Portals on the left panel we have a menu with several options to select from. When one of the options selected in User Portal, the following errors occur, one after another:
NullPointerException in SafeURL.put(key,value) {FieldError}, {undefined}
NullPointerException in SafeURL.put(key,value) {pyCustomError}, {undefined}
NullPointerException in SafeURL.put(key,value) {FormError}, {undefined}
There are no errors in the Tracer nor in the logfile. However they don't appear in the Manager Portal. Can somebody advise what could be a root cause?

The Root Cause for this is,The Run Script Action on click of any menu options from Other Actions menu , invokes the function "pega.ui.HarnessActions.handleMenuAction" expects a value for the parameters (HarnessMode,FieldError,FormError,pyCustomError,bExcludeLegacyJS) .When these are not passed null pointer exception with undefined error popup appears for each of the parameters one by one.
Possible Solution : Save-As the JavaScript rule pypega_ui_harnessActions.js from PegaRulesEngine ruleset to application specific ruleset and modify those 5 lines where these parameters are set.
Replace these 5 as in the attachment . If Pega CRM Framework is used in your application ,these lines of code can be found in the JavaScript function rule crm_ui_harnessActions.js

To make it work ,on click of a button ,please try with checking the checkbox "Register OOTB actions used in script for URL tamper proofing" ,when a Run Script action is implemented on Click Event . Please do specify the Actions needed as well. A sample screenshot attached from an OOTB section.
