Not getting multiple window warning in pega 7
Hi Everyone,
I am not getting multiple window warning message in pega 7.
I am able to open the same application in two tabs in the same session which is opposite to pega 6 where in we see a multiple warning message window.
Its a prod defect. Can someone please help me?

Hello Madhusudhan,
From Pega 7, the multiple Window Warning has been retired. And, changes are done at the design level to make sure Clipboard data corruption does not occur and session is maintained properly even in multiple window or tabs for the same session.

Hi Mounika,
There is another issue related to this. User can access multiple applications. So in one tab he opened one application and in another tab if he keeps same application its getting refreshed but on the other hand if in second tab if he switches to another application and then again come back to first tab it gets refreshed but application doesn't change.
So basically he can see both the application in one session. they have raised this prod issue.
Could you please suggest on this.

Hi Madhusudan,
I have IE v11 installed locally and could not see the issue reported by you. Can you try the -nosessionmerging setting provided by Microsoft; IE Command-Line Options (Internet Explorer)

Hi Madhusudan,
As Habeeb mentioned I believe its a -nomerge and not -nosessionmerge which is currently enabled on my IE and hence not able to replicate the same at my end. after making changes make sure you restart the system

Hi Basavaraj,
Yes I will try that but tell me one thing how do I make this thing as permanent change for IE. Currently through cmd prompt I am opening IE with the mentioned command.

Hi,
This seems not an issue and is the expected behavior of Pega 7 due to enhancement hot fix.
Business is actually looking for the same Pega 6 error "Multiple window not allowed" when applications are opened in adjacent tabs.
Any workaround is there for it?
