Not able to identify the source of data returned from the call Rule-Obj-Report-Definition.pxRetrieveSearchData in an activity

Hi,

We are using a step "call Rule-Obj-Report-Definition.pxRetrieveSearchData" inside an activity and providing Report Name and Report Class and pySearchString and other couple of parameters.

This step is returning results when we run the whole case, but when I run the RD individually I am not getting any result. Also DB table mapped with this particular class of RD is having Zero records in it. 

Please suggest me on how to identify the data source of this step "call Rule-Obj-Report-Definition.pxRetrieveSearchData"

Hi

Trace the activity while you are running the case. In the Tracer, once your RD is executed you can get the Query thats used to retrieve result.

You will get some information from the query about from where the results are coming,

Hi,

The source for this result would be ElasticSearch index.

Below article explains the syntax to pass pySearchString.

Also, please check on below article and see if this is something that you are also missing, hence you are not getting any result when you ran the RD individually.
