MQ Connection Pooling capability

Need information on the below points:

1. While trying to send the messages through Connect MQ we found that connection is established and closed at the time of sending each message. Do we have session caching and pooling enabled by default or do we need to enable explicitly? 2. After establishing the connection pooling, how does the MQ Server Connection closes during the Application restart or MQ Manager reboot?
