Maximum number of values for multiselect Control

what would be the maximum number of values that multiselect control can hold?

@DINESHKUMARP9758  - Since multiselect stores the results in a pagelist, there wouldn't be any limits as such, however, considering user experience, you would shouldn't use a multiselect if you are expecting the user to select a large number of values and then display them in read only mode in the multiselect option control itself. This would make it un-readbale from end user perspective.
