Masking a character while entering in the autocomplete fields

Hi,

 I have requirement to mask the digits while entering in the fields.

Type = Text and it is autocomplete feature

Ex: (123456789)

1)the first 5 digits should be masked while Typing  in the field 

2) last 4 digits should not be masked. 

Please let me know your suggestions.
