Manipulating events on Calendar

Amigos!

I am researching to see if it is possible to easily manipulate events on a calendar, such as adding, removing, modifying, and sharing events with other users, directly from your calendar. So far, my research leads me to believe that the calendar is simple and only displays events triggered from Assignment SLAs. Please confirm this.
