Log/Save Web Service request raw XML gracefully
I found a similar question at this link.

The requirement is to log SOAP Service whole raw XML to a table, not log file.
For Services, not Connectors.
Appreciate if you can suggest what the best approach on Pega 7.1.8

You may consider something like JDBCAppender (check the log4j website - I do not believe this class comes with pega OOTB engine). However, be aware that the intensive IO can cause serious performance issue. That is one of the main reasons that Pega does not write alerts to database directly. Cosider instead JMSAppender and then direct those messages to external systems to be processed accordingly.

Agree with Kevin on performance concern, but now just want to know if technically it is doable easily.

Hi, Raw XML input is present on the clipboard pxRequestor.pxReqSOAPEnvelope
In the service activity copy this property to your work property or any data class property to store it into a table.
This works in 6.x versions. But some PDN users complain that it doesnt work in 7.x versions. I am not sure about that.
Also it doesnt work if you manually run the service soap for testing.
