Launch guided tour in another thread/harness

We have added a couple of items to the explorer in the left in App studio and trying to use a guided tour to explain the features.

We are launching a guided tour from a portal like case manager. However, its not able to tour across the harness. When i try to tour against components in the same harness its working but across harness its not working in my case its casemanager and pxexpress.
