Jar imports to load quicker
Dears,
Are there ways in which importing jars can be made to run faster.
I have a rules jar of almost 50 MB and its taking a long time to even cross the first two steps in the import GYI wizard before goes on to load. It then slowly starts to import itself with some info on some missing prerequisites which are not affecting the app in any way but any help to quiken this process will be helpful.
Any imporvements in this area is well received.

The most important thing is running the import as close to the Pega server as possible. If you're on the same physical network as the server, you should see ideal speeds. If you're remote, you'll see slower speeds. There's not really anything software side that controls the speed of this, as far as I know.

Thanks for your reply.
But is there a way to let the application know that i can skip the missing prerequisites and directly go on and load.
Is there a considerable time spent on finding the prerequisistes before loading.
Is it a mandatory step or is there a way to skip it.

Hi Jagan,
These are the few steps you can take :
1. Place the file directly on the Pega Temp directory static content folder.
2. Import file from the server.
3. You could have schema ready on your db before hand.
4. The server and db location should be in same geographical location to facilitate it.
Other way is to use PRPCUtils to import the jar.
I am not aware of any way to skip mandatory prerequisite. However, the rap file for frameworks are quite big, eg: 250 mb or even more and that does not take that much time on my local.
