Importing Product Rules, System goes down, PRPC Fails to Restart.
Hi,
I was importing product rules from one server to another. I was able to import two product rules succesfully but when I started the third import the system hanged and is now unreachable. I looked in our weblogic application and saw that prpc has failed. I have restarted the server but prpc is still failing to restart. I was hoping to get any insight on how to fix this problem we are having.
Thanks,
Jeremy L.

The other SRs were for other issues, not this one.
We were actually able to pinpoint and fix the issue late yesterday. Our two app nodes were using different db runtime users. Also, there may or may not have been an issue with permissions for the runtime user, but I'm not positive about that.
Our takeaway here is that when PRPC fails to restart, make sure to double check the runtime user on all nodes and the permissions for the runtime user.

Please post the log file from the import and the restart attempts so we can see what the problem is.

Our client does not want us uploading log files. Is there something in particular that you are looking for?

Hi
I would recommend you to raise an SR with GCS and share log with them to get it troubleshooted further.

Hi Jeremy,
Let us know if you do log an SR for this and its ID. That way we can track it and follow-up this discussion with the resolution.

Hi Lochan,
I'm part of Jeremy's team working on this issue. We are fairly certain the cause is not a pega issue. We've had multiple SR's closed telling us if there is no defect in Pega's code, then the SR team will not provide any advice. If it is advice we are looking for, we were told to use the Pega community.
We are hoping that someone in the Pega community can provide us with some of the diagnostics they use in this situation. PRPC fails to start. Does anyone have a quick step by step guide to what they do to solve the problem?
Thank you,
Travis

Hello
Can you please share the old SR numbers with us so that we can reach out to the engineers who worked on those SR and engage them in the discussion as well.
