IFrame styling?
Hi,
We have an application that was originally written in Pega 4.x. It has been upgraded multiple times and we're working on an upgrade to 7.2.2.
In one of our review harnesses we have an issue with the work area iFrame being set to a height of 186px with an inline style.
We are inheriting styles from the pzDesignerStudio skin and something is overwriting the style for this particular element (works fine in developer portal, even). We cannot seem to locate the offending code. Do you have any hints or suggestions to locate the style?
We do have WorkArea components that have not been upgraded to non-deprecated controls and have seen some odd configuration that is no longer update-able via the UI. So perhaps this is one of those items. Are iFrame components one of the standard controls/containers/layouts for which we could set something like "auto !important;" as the height in order to override the inline style?

Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately the LiveUI is not much help here, as we're using the deprecated WorkArea control. When selecting the iFrame in the DOM explorer in IE or Chrome, the height is set to 168px with an inline style. We have a Pega LSA (direct from PegaSystems) helping us with a few issues now. I think he may have helped to resolve this issue. I'll follow-up with our team and post the solution, if so.

Hi,
I think the real issue for us is the use of deprecated controls that don't display properly in modern browsers. The biggest issue (style-wise) is nested iFrames, which don't seem to be able to be styled with the standard skins.

I would replace first the workArea by a dynamic container - the workArea control is deprecated - Switching to the dynamic container is relatively easy and should not require any other change in your application.
