If we migrate complete DB using export-import utility from on-premise to cloud DB
Hi,
One query regarding migration from on-premise to Cloud.
If we migrate complete DB using export-import utility from on-premise to cloud DB then, what should we do with the node specific table like pr_sys_statusnodes? Can we copy that in the cloud DB? Will the environment work properly?
what should be our approach for this?

Hi Animesh,
you don't need to import any data to pr_sys_statusnodes table as the table is populated on App server startup. The pr_sys_statusnodes table contains the details about nodes in the current environment.

is there any other areas from DB side which we need to consider while migration from on-premise to cloud in a lift-shift approach? Like pr_sys_statusnodes table is there any other DB objects which needs separate action during migration?

a) does the same Database type (oracle or postgres .. etc) exist in both on -premises and Cloud?
You also need to make sure you copy all DB objects including views/triggers /stored prece... etc. Need to apply indexing as well.
