HTTP Polling - CTI event listener dependency
I am using CPM 7.1.3 over Pega 7.1.8.
My situation is like i registered a event listener with the browser. The event listener calls the script to invoke a pop up.
Now from an activity i send the event data to the event listener, But there is no response. I used HTTP protocol.
Now when i Log in CTI and run the same activity I find the event listener listens and excute the script.
My analysis:
I use F12 developer tool and checked the network tab.
When Logged in CTI - Browser sends HTTP request every 30 seconds.
When i logged out CTI - Each HTTP request takes time.
Please advice if i am in the right path and how can i make to event listener work even when i dont use CTI.

Hi Prem,
Need more information on which listener you are trying to invoke & with a activity run, how you are doing it.
For CTI everything is event driven. So if activity sends a response for a async request, it will invoke another function with a sendevent.

My question is like I am trying to achieve a screen pop in a client browser without CTI.
I am using the screenpopcontrol which is added in PhoneCallContainer in portal header to register a event listener in the client browser.
I am sending the event to that event listener by running a SendEvent activity using HTTP protocol.
This works fine when I login CTI.
My primary objective is to achieve the same without CTI.
I think some long polling mechanism is dealing with this,
Can you share your views.
