How to use ContainsRole Function

Good day,

I´m trying to understand the function "OperatorContainsRole(atools, "role")", not sure what atool means, and exploring is only saying that is an activity. Searching and I found that is similar to function "HaveRole(aTools, rolename)". Does anyone have an example so I can understand better? I´m using PEGA 8.1

We can use the function to check if the caller has the specific role in it..

Example : @HaveRole(tools, "PegaRULES:SysAdm5")

 

tools is an reserved word in pega which is reference PublicApi 

 

In the example we are checking if the current user has PegaRULES:SysAdm5 role
