Short answer: you can't as you probably already know. We strongly recommend upgrade to the latest Pega version (8.4.2 at the moment). You not only gets PATCH support and a lot more (reference: https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/whats-new-pega-platform/integrate-services-using-patch-method-82)
