How to switch the access group dynamically run time [PEGA 7.4]
Hi All,
I have 2 applications App A and App B.
App A data are exposed via REST service calls and App B has user portals.
"User X" has access to both these applications and his default access group is "App B: Managers"
Now, user X wants to see all his cases from App A only from an external Non-Pega application via REST service calls.
Also in parallel, user X wants to login in to App B and access App B related cases.
Is there a way to enable active access groups for both these applications run time ?

At present, we only support the Pega API REST service calls on the default application. Of course your own REST services can take an access group or application parameter and switch as necessary. Assuming you are invoking the Pega APIs, this means that App A must be the default access group. So, if you want a browser-connected user to auto-switch to App B on login, you can call RedirectAndRun from the "Starting activity to execute" on the operator ID. Let me know if you run into problems with this approach.
