How to start the Guided Tour automatically and manually in PRPC v7.2

I had created Guided Tour with two tour stops and set the Tour Ids on the two controls same as Tour Ids on the Guided Tour rule and the class of the Guided Tour is same of the section with these fields referencing.

  • To start automatically I had added control in the same section with pxGuidedTourAutoStart and set TourClass, TourName fields and selected AutoLaunchAlways checkbox is selected. But when I launch the portal Guided Tour did not started. How to start Guided Tour automatically ?
  • I saw Guided Tour code related to Pega Express portal - There they have added some script in order to call Guided Tour. Do we need to write any script to call Guided Tour manually ?

To start the tour, have  you configured any action control with script. Refer the PDN help (from Pega 7.1.8) regarding this.

Marc,

My PRPC version is v7.2 and I did not find anything related to Guided Tour in Actions --> Others.

For Automatic - I did the same but its not working. And I have added Data-Preference-Operator class to application role and gave write permissions, but still no use.

Hi Rincy,

This was useful and Now I am able to launch the Guided Tour manually and automatically.  But the issue identified is that the section mentioned in the "Tour stop section" field is not displaying when we run the Guided Tour.
