How to show an hierarchy?
Hi All,
I have to show a hierarchy of employess like CIO --> VP--> Director--> Manager--> Engineer . When I click on any of the hierarchy the details below that should appear. For Example, If I click on CIO X, All VPs under CIO X should appear, If I click on VP 'Y' , all Directos under that VP should appear . We should be able to show like a tree . I tried using Tree grid but couldn't progress. Please give me an example and any demo video .

You can use dynamic select using data page for this scenario. May I know which version you are using for this scenario.

A Tree Grid should work here. Please refer to the implementation of Orgazational Chart (Designer Studio --> Org & Security --> Organization -- > Organizational Chart) tree grid in Pega. It will give you an idea about the data strcuture required for meeting your requirement.

Here is a simple example. I have 2 pxDropDown controls. The first is showing a list of countries and the second a list of states / regions.
Here is the source configuration of the second drop down which is populated based on the selection in the first. I take the value from the first dropdown (actually the property is called .DropDown) and pass thjs as a parameter to the D_State data page that I am using as the source for this drop down.

The D_StateList data page has the selectedCountry parameter from above configured...
...which is in turn passed to the report defintion which is the source of my data page.
Parameter configured on report:
The report has a filter defined based on this parameter.
And the end result....
