How to set BIX XML file in ASCII vs UTF-8 when special characters in the data
Hi
We are running BIX from command line using UNIX script and XML as output format. when ever there are some special characters the file encoding is in UTF-8 and other days its in ASCII.
We have a requirement for the file to be encoded in ASCII always as down stream teams can only process ASCII files.
Is there a way for BIX to always have file generated in ASCII even when there are some special characters?

@SriHarsha Anika We are getting below special characters in the data, when these are present the file generated is in UTF-8 encoding, but when these data is not present the format is in ASCII.
we wanted it to be consistent and always need to be in ASCII

@AravindY2749 that's a ASCII character for a bullet point. You need to format that bullet point during the storage into respective UTF-8 encoding. so that during extraction BIX does not end up in changing it's encoding.
