How to send excel file with "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet" content type via Connect-REST

In my application I have a requirement to send excel file (.xlsx) with Content-Type as "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet" via Connect-REST call. If any member has used this way of sending excel file to external system by the said content type, please provide your support here.
