How to send email notification to a User when a Work Task was transferred by another User
According to Pega documentation, email notification are not supported (not sent out) when a user transfers ownership of an assignment to another user.
Is there a way to send out an email notification in this scenario... besides adding an extra step and point-of-failure to include a Pulse message tagged to the new assignee?

Inside pega OOTB reassign activity, extension activity will be available. By using that extension activity you could build your logic to send mail to new assignee..

Hi, I'm trying to implement this solution but the pyTransferAssignmentDefaults Activitiy doesn't appear to be called when I transfer an assignment using the "Transfer Assignment" optional action from the actions menu of a case.
I did discover that the pyTransferAssignmentPostProcessing activity is called when using this optional action, but if I make an edit to that activity to add this email notification it introduces some severe warnings to our app, as this appears to be an older activity that was grandfathered in.
Are you able to suggest any workarounds so that we don't have to introduce severe warnings and lower our guardrail score?

@AlanM5087 How are you calling the pyTransferAssignmentPostProcessing activity , if you are calling using any activity or not from buttons then mark it as Utility so that you can avoid the severe warning.

No need to place business logic in pyTransferAssignmentPostProcessing activity..
Inside pyTransferAssignmentPostProcessing activity pega will be using Reassign activity to reassign the case from one user to another user.. Inside Reassign activity we will have another extension activity called ReassignDefaults.
In ReassignDefaults activity have your business logic for sending mail during reassign.
Change the activity type to utility and then start pacing your business logic.
ReassignDefaults is the extension activity where we can have the business logic, not in pyTransferAssignmentPostProcessing activity..
