How to reference pyWorkCover from a child case in an activity?
I have an activity in a child case "AAA-BBB-Work-ParentCase-ChildCase" that needs to check a property "ParentProperty" in a parent case.
I've tried to define a page "ParentPage" and a parent class "AAA-BBB-Work-ParentCase" in page and class tab and refer the property as ParentPage.ParentProperty however it was unable to. I need this property to decide whether or not to continue the activity in the child case or not but since there is no such property exist in the child case, it always exit the activity in child case.
Would defining the page name as "pyWorkCover" and the class will be parent class work? or are there any other ways? Thanks

Yes, you could refer pyWorkCover page in Pages & Class tab and then you can access the parent case information from child case.
Example: pyWorkCover.pyID = this will give parent case id.
But disadvantage of this approach will be, pyWorkCover page will be available only when user tries to open and perform some actions in child case.
When SLA agent (or) any kind of backed process rules (without human interactions) trying to perform some action in child case then pyWorkCover page will not be available.
In backend process also you want to access parent case information, then instead of using pyWorkCover page concept you can make use of pxCoverInsKey property value. This is Pega OOTB property, in all child case this property will be available and will hold parent case pzInsKey value. By using this property, you can open parent case without acquiring lock and can build your business logic.
