How to pass a property value to a new page in pagelist in Constellation
Here in the screenshot, I have PlantInfo field and Selected Tags (embedded data page list) at my case level.
I will be selecting the PlantInfo field first.
When I click on '+ Add Tag' for adding a new page to Selected Tags list, I want to pass PlantInfo value.
Apparently there is no easy way for this, we even tried Declare expression of copying the value but the value selected in PlantInfo is not present as its not yet persisted in clipboard.
Any ideas or thoughts on how to solve this issue?
You can configure this in 2 steps :
- Add the mapping to "pyDefault" DT of your "Selected tags" class.
- Set the visibility of the embedded data field as "always". This ensures that the "pyDefault" DT is executed every time you add a record.
@Aditi Mehta - We tried this and found that the pyDefault DT is not working when its a modal. It runs when its a table row.
Even in that situation, its passing empty value.
In our example above, I expect pyWorkPage.PlantInfo to be P1 when running DT but its not happening. Do you think its a product defect?
