How to launch a desktop application (Trizetto Facets) from Pega UI

We have a requirement where we need to launch a desktop application and open certain window of it, from Pega UI, Is it possible?

 

Adding more to it: This desktop application (that we are trying to open) is inside a remote desktop , through citrix gateway. - should we pursue this path at all? it seems not possible through pega .
