How to get step status info if there is an exception/fail ?

Hi, 

 Greetings. I am trying to get the status info if there is an exception/fail. Is there any Pega function that i can use to get this information? I am trying to validate incoming payload for data type validations. example a text in Date field and so on. Please find the attached tracer screen shot.Tracer

There are 2 OOTB when rules StepStatusFail or StepStatusGood, we can use these to check if the step is failed.

Hi,

  Thanks, but these methods are for checking the status, what i need is to be able to get the Status message.
