How to Dynamically Set the File path and fileName for BIX Extract running with the help of Pega Agent
Hi Team,
In my application we are implementing BIX extract using Pega Agent. The Agent activity used is "pyExtractDataByArgs".
we need to have the extracted XML file to go into dynamically set path at run time. Currently whatever we define in the FileSpecification tab of the Extract rule the file is placed in that location.
So can anyone help me how can we set the FilePath dynamically instead of hardcoding the location on FileSpecification tab of extract rule?

For -P you will need to give the output directory where the extracted files should be saved. You can give
-P "/usr/myextractedfiles"
Note that this just specifies the directory and doesn't change the file names. Please refer to the BIX user guide for -P option - https://docs-previous.pega.com/bix-72-user-guide
Also, the name of the activity is "pxExtractDataWithArgs".
You can generate unique files names for the extracted files across multiple runs of the extract rule by using the option as specified in "Completing the File Specification tab" section in the BIX user guide.

I do not believe that is possible using pyExtractDataByArgs at this time. If you run the extract from command line you can specify the output directory by using the -P parameter.
I thought that a Data Page might do what you're looking for, but it looks like Extract rules do not allow that at this time. It may be worth submitting an enhancement request for it.

Thank you for responding. So what are the parameters I need to specify with "-P"
like for -i argument we give "-i ExtractClassName ExtractRule" so similarly what I need to do for -P.
