how does pxRequestor.pxReqScheme is set
We have Pega 8.5.3 instance deployed in Tomcat
we are accessing the application as https but pxRequestor.pxReqScheme is set to http
is there any settings that can be used to make the pxRequestor.pxReqScheme https.

OOTB setting for "TLS/SSL required" can be set to true
You can verify this under LogHttpRequest for initial /prweb request. In SSL enabled scenario in SSL enabled scenario we usually see getScheme = https and getServerPort = 443,
If you see getScheme = http and getServerPort = 80. Are you calling pega ootb rest service endpoint from a connector which is pega to pega call?
Can you check this with Load balancer? Are you using a reverse proxy? Check by adding X-FORWARDED-PROTO header to Apache configuration.
