How to create a file and send it as an attachment

How can we create a file (txt/pdf/word doc) and send it as an attachment through email in Pega ?

My requirement is case/flow independent, An Agent is going to execute an activity and output of that execution needs to be put in a file and sent as an attachment.

the output will be many lines of text.
