How to configure on click event on helper icon for the label in 8.4?

As of now we are configured helper text message on hover that is by default, also we want to display helper text on click of helper icon(Question mark icon). Is there a way to configure on click event on helper icon for the label in 8.4? Please let us know if we can customize.
