How to change permission alert to access location and camera alert

Hi,

I want to ask how to revise the permission alert to access the location and camera alert

because appstore (iOS) rejected and they want specify why the app is requesting access to the user's camera and location also help the users understand why this app is requesting access to their personal data

im using pega version 7.2.2

please any suggest what i must to do for this issue

Hi Charlie

Pega mobile client adds default messages to all permission requests. If you want to change the message for a particular permission you can them to App-Info.plist inside your assets folder.

Please find the steps to do this below.

  1. Open the mobile build tab and download the assets zip file. If you dont have an assets file already then please check https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v722/procomhelpmain.htm#mobile/tasks/mob-uploading-branding-assets-tsk.htm%3FTocPath%3DMobility%7CConfiguring%2520a%2520custom%2520mobile%2520app%7CBranding%2520mobile%2520apps%7C_____2 on how to add assets file.
  2. Open the assets.zip file and create a file named App-Info.plist under the 'ios' folder.
    If you do not have an 'ios' folder, create one.
  3. Add plist values for one or more of the following keys, specifying the message you want to show in each scenario:
    NSLocationAlwaysAndWhenInUseUsageDescription
    NSLocationAlwaysUsageDescription
    NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription
    NSCameraUsageDescription
  4. Zip all the files in the assets folder and rename it to assets.zip.
    Important: Make sure that you are only zipping the files, not the assets folder itself.
  5. Upload the assets.zip file to the Designer Studio and re-build the app.

Please find a sample App-Info.plist (renamed to ,txt since plist extension is not allowed) attached for your reference.

Hi, 

im already custom the app-info, but appstore still reject and they screen capture does not show my custom word. 

please correct my app-info and my assets info

Hi,

 

The file should be named App-Info.plist, you have App-Info.txt in the assets provided.

I used .txt extension since I could not attach a .plist file here. Please rename the file to App-Info.plist and check if that works.
