HFIX-C1460 Aggregation service truncates summary
Hello team,
We have Upgraded Pega Platform from 8.6.6 to 23.1.4 and when we scan the system, this Critical Missing Hotfix appears:
HFIX-C1460 Aggregation service truncates summary
but we haven't received any CAD advise or INC.
Please, could you help us to identify if this HF applies to us?
How to test it after install the HF?

Install this only if you use Pega’s Aggregation (Data Flow → Aggregate or any summary/roll-up step) and you see truncated results in summary outputs. First, try to reproduce on 23.1.4: run an Aggregate that groups by a key and sums/counts while also passing a long text/number field; compare source vs target (records, max lengths). If totals or text fields are clipped (for example, strings cut at 255 or numeric overflows), the HF likely applies. If you don’t use Aggregation or all summaries match exactly, you can skip it. If it applies, request HFIX-C1460 from Pega Support, install it, then restart, clear caches, and re-save the data flow. Re-run the same Aggregate and validate row counts, min/max, and field lengths; also check logs for no truncation warnings. For extra safety, run a before/after SQL count and checksum on the target table or preview dataset. Document results and keep the HF in your deployment pipeline.

Hello @Sairohith,
we guess that this aggregation should be the IH Summaries, right? because we have checked in the rest of our Data Flows and we don't have any aggregation step. The source of the Data Flows we use is a webservice or Datasource.
We use IH Summaries, but we haven't detected any lost of information in the data that we get from them.
As we use Pega Diagnostic Center, is there any type of alert that reports a numeric overflow or text truncation?
Anyway, would there be any issue with installing the hotfix even if it doesn’t apply to our use case? Or is it not advisable?
