Harness question

1. What is the point key? 2. Why we select the skip create harness check box in process tab in flow?

Hi, I don't understand question 1.  Could you provide some more detail, including which version of Pega you are using?

For question 2:

If you skip the create harness on a starter flow, then a case will be created automatically with default property values.  Without this enabled they user will be presented with the New Harness before the case gets created, where they can enter any initial starting property values that are required to create the case.

The following is taken from the 7.2.2 help for the Process tab on the Flow form

Skip create harness?

Select to indicate that the application can create a work item from properties defined in a data transform and with processing by the NewDefaults activity, without other sources of property values. When selected:

  • If the data transform and the NewDefaults activity supply values that pass validation, the system creates the work item.
  • The user form based on the harness specified in the Harness field appears only when validation fails.
Note: This check box is selected by default in flows created by Application Express.
