Facing issue with print dialog box
Hi All,
I have interrogated the print preference dialog box. The path for dialog box is "C:\Windows\splwow64.exe".
As this is a dialog box the start property is set to "Monitor All". Some time all the controls from the dialog box doesn't match and need to restart the PC.
Could anyone help me out ?

In the past when I have had to interrogate this (it is Adobe's print dialog), you need to do several things;
For interrogation;
- Create a new adapter and set the ResolvePath property to false.
- Set the Path property to SPLWOW64.exe
- Change the StartMethod to MonitorAll
- Start Interrogation
- If the process is already running, kill it via Task Manager.
- Open your current adapter and start interrogation (no changes need to be made to this adapter).
- Trigger the print dialog.
- Switch back to your SPLWOW64.exe adapter and you should be able to interrogate it.
For Runtime
- Use the script below to terminate this process before you initiate your print.
- Terminating the process is key because it get started and stays running like a service after the first print.
- If it has been started before you had your SPLWOW64.exe adapter listening, then you would never be able to interact with it.
- Initiate your print
- Your automations will use a combination of the two adapters to automate the process.
