Facebook callback webhooks url syntax
I have check the configurations for Facebook chat bot integration with Pega, but didn't understand the below portion:
"In the Callback URL field, enter the URL for your Pega Platform instance where you defined your new Facebook channel, for example: http://***.****.com/prweb/PRHTTPService/channel/srv/fb"
Would you please help me with the syntax?
- How the call back URL need to prepare?
- Do I need to implement a HTTP service separately? Or 'Facebook channel interface' will work?
- I have created a 'Facebook channel interface' with name 'fb', I put he below URL 'https://pega.***.com/prweb/PRHTTPService/channel/srv/fb', but showing error message 'The URL couldn't be validated. Callback verification failed with the following errors: HTTP Status Code = 500; HTTP Message = Internal Server Error'.
- How to trace this functionality?

I have found the Channel service package, and use that to generate URL for Facebook. That accepts the URL. But, I am still not able to connect with facebook for request processing.

Hi Gopesh,
The first thing to confirm is that you have the correct version of the FB Messenger component installed and added to your application. You can find it here: https://community.pega.com/marketplace/components/facebook-channel
You don't need to create any services or service packages, they are all included in the component mentioned above.
Tracing is very useful for diagnosing connectivity issues. You can do this by tracing the HTTP service, channel - srv - fb.

Yes.. I checked that.. The channel service was included, and I mentioned the same in my previous comment.

Hello Gopesh,
I assume you are trying to do it from Personal Edition.
We need to note down couple of points here.
1) The callback url should be secured (HTTPS)
2) The url should be exposed to public domain.
If we try to use "https://localhost:8080/prweb/PRHTTPService/channel/srv/fb" (get this url from Channel service package), we will get an error. we need to expose localhost to public domain and try with new url. There are few options you can try in google to do this.
The correct url should be in this format - https://publicdomain/prweb/PRHTTPService/channel/srv/fb
I did the same and it worked for me. Try and let me know the result from your end.
