Subject: Unable to Establish Kafka Connection in Pega 24.2 - Assistance Needed

Hello Pega Community,

I am currently working on Externalisation of Kafka with Pega 24.2 in on-premises . As Kafka is no longer provided natively in Pega 24.2, I understand that we need to externalize it and configure the connection. However, I am encountering issues while trying to establish this connection.

Here is the current setup:

1. I have updated the prconfig.xml file with the necessary Kafka configurations (see attached screenshot).
2. I have ensured that the Kafka instance is running and accessible from the Pega server.
3. Despite following the available documentation, the connection does not seem to be working, and I am unable to send or receive messages via Kafka.

To provide additional context, I have attached the following:

Could you please assist me in identifying what might be going wrong? Are there any specific steps or configurations required to externalize Kafka successfully in Pega 24.2 that I might have missed?
