ExportToExcel is not working when call is made from an activity..

Hi ,

I am calling the ExportToExcel activity from a link on the Section. From Run activity it is not working as Run activity is an ajax call. Tried with doformsubmit(). It is working but entire screen is refreshing. I do not want that. If i run the activity standalone i could bale to download the excel. Is there any way to get it done on the click of a link.

Hello Vishwa, 

This is an expected behavior, to download the excel file you need to refresh the screen or a popup should be triggered. 
 
When you run the activity standalone, you will get a popup and download the exportToexcel
The same with Refresh the section too..screen re-renders and file get downloaded.
