Export format of Pega applications
Hello,
I have tried multiple ways of exporting a Pega application, Pega 8 onwards. One way was this one, for example: https://academy.pega.com/challenge/exporting-application/v3
My question is about the export format, the contents of the JAR or the ZIP. It contains metadata, schemas in XML format and .bin files. I was wondering if there is a way to get the rules/application logic in XML (or any other textual format) instead of binaries.

@BugraMY17195992 When you export a Pega application, the product rule creates a .zip file by default. This .zip file contains rules.jar and schema.jar. The schema.jar contains XML for different tables which can be easily read and interpreted. The rules.jar contains binaries and cannot be opened outside Pega. The rules/application logic is stored in these binaries and there is no out-of-the-box way to export them in a textual format like XML. This is done to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the application rules.
