Expand ALL/Collapse ALL button does not include filtered values

We have created to Expand ALL/Collapse ALL button on top of the grid and we use it to expand/collapse All records in a table.

We loop through the records and set "pyExpanded" to expand records.

If the user selected values from the filter and click expand we are showing all records and expanding them. is there a way to only display filter records and expand them.
