Emails with dash in the domain cannot be entered
We have recently launched our new User Interface and have discovered that the UI will not accept the entry of email addresses that have a dash in the domain name. An example of one we cannot enter would be Proprietary information hidden. What change can we make to make this format acceptable?

We have found that this issue is only isolated to one place on our site, and we have learned to instead enter emails with a dash in the domain inside the fields that will accept them. Thank you.

I did a search for you and found out the below:
When a user is trying to use SSO and wants to use OperatorIDs with their oganization's email addresses, the email addresses can have dashes ('-') and these values are blocked when the OperatorID record is to be saved.
Reason:
The dash isn't allowed because it isn't allowed in java names. (dash means minus in java)

I have a domain name for personal emails that has a dash in it. Years ago I used to have a lot of problems getting it accepted by various vendor's applications. That problem seems to have gone away; at least, I have no vendors today who are complaining about the dash or who can't send me email. I would raise an SR -- whether or not there is a technical reason for the problem, these are valid email names and the Pega (and 3rd party) code should accept them.
