Dynamic Tabs to Open cases in PEGA 8.4.6

I have a requirement to shows the cases in the Dashboard tab and on click of the Case ID, the case should be opening in the new tab in the current window. Can't use Tab Group as it is deprecated. Any suggestions on how we can customize the layout group to achieve this requirement.

Referred many articles in PDN but not useful.
