Duplicate Email Listener instances in SMA

Does anyone know why SMA allows to start Email Listeners again from SMA, even though there are running instances already?

Is it bug in Pega 7.1.4? or expected behaviour?

Hi Raghu,

Whenever you start a listener again from the SMA it will span a new thread and will start processing to  poll the mailbox  based on the Latency configured in the Email Listener Rule created.

Please note that this thread of email listener will be available for the next re-start of the system/ if you restart the listener by selecting the option under "By Type Running."
