Dropdown value focus to 3rd value from the list of dropdown values

Hi, Requirement 1 On selected Dropdown value, cursor should focus to 3rd value from the available list instead of by default 1st value. Requirement 2 Placeholder color change for dropdown control. Pls explain someone clearly. Thanks
