Dropdown option with allowed results disappear when "Allowed to update column layout" is unchecked
Hi,
- Results are limited with choices defined in "Results defined by property"/"Result" field in a decision table.
- When "Allowed to update column layout" is checked, we can see a dropdown with valid options in the Return column
- When "Allowed to update column layout" is unchecked, the dropdown disappears and instead a property selection control is displayed.
The above behavior is observed in both 7.1.9 and 7.3.1
Is there any fix/workaround known as we intend to delegate the decision table with "Allowed to update column layout" unchecked and still would like to have the dropdown of valid options while editing the rule.

On reviewing the corresponding SR, we see that it has been resolved. SA-54023 was created as a result of the investigation. Please reference that if you have the same question.

There is no section or any other rule involved.
We are just trying to delegate a decision table with a few result options defined in "Results" tab. If the checkbox is unchecked in the said decision table, then the dropdown of options is not available when someone tries to edit the decision table rule.

Yes, a snapshot would be useful. I am not clear where this dropdown is appearing. Is it in the header of the return column? Or on a cell in the return column? I tried a private-checkout of two different ootb decision tables, and for each I tried changing the "allowed to update column layout" checkmark, and did not see any dropdown in the return column.
If you are able to demonstrate the issue with a private-checkout of any of the ootb decision tables, we can try the same example here.
Does the dropdown perhaps require the property to be defined as one whose input values are chosen from a table?
