Download a sample excel template from Pega UI
Hi All,
A link need to provided to users to download a sample template from the Pega UI.
Please let me know whether this scenario is feasible using Pega OOTB Controls.
Any suggestions please.

You can use the OOTB activity MSOGenerateExcelFile passing a sample binary file as input . The binary file will take your sample excel file as template . The other input of this activity is a page list which we want to generate in your excel sheet . Please use a temp page list which will have data based on your conditions.

Thanks Nikhil, I need to provide an access to user - download a sample excel template from the Pega UI Screen (Via link or button). (i.e. at runtime when the user click on the link, the sample excel template need to be downloaded). Nothing to capture in the excel while downloading.

Hi,
You can write activity to open the binary file you want to display it as link to users for downloading sample template, then simply call the “Rule-File-Binary.downloadFile" OOTB activity to download any type of binary file by passing pzinskey of the binary file as parameter.
