Does Pega 7.1.9 support IE version 11.0.26?
Does Pega 7.1.9 support IE version 11.0.26?
Some of our developers cannot open Pega 7.1.9 with IE 11.0.26. Some developers can open it with IE 11.0.24. Only difference is patch version of IE.
Thanks,
Jun

Thanks Rett.
Jun, I missed to notice this in your screen shot. You need to remove the "pegacloud.com" and also uncheck the first check box (which will force the intranet sites in Compatibility View).
Refer the below screen and make sure "Compatibility View" is completely disabled in all manner and give it a try.

Hi,
However what is the exact issue that is being faced? Is any specific control not working? Are you getting any Java script error?
Is it for all users using the IE 11.0.26 or only few?

Jun,
Just remove the "pegacloud.com" from that tab.
It should be empty and then try. It should work for you.

Hi
The issue does not change when removed "pegacloud.com" from the tab.
IE 11.0.24 works fine, but 11.0.26 does not work.
Thanks,
Jun

The following PDN article has some more information about this screen.
https://docs-previous.pega.com/modifying-unsupported-browser-lists-and-error-messages
Hi Jun,
Not sure what are all the change between 11.0.24 and 11.0.26. But i see 11.0.26 was released very recently (08th December 215 - Just 6 days old) and did not get a change to explore that.
Can you use 11.0.24 which is quite old and i don't see any problem there. Also is there a possibility of using other browsers like Safari / Chrome?
I am still hoping that it should work after removing the "pegaclound.com" even in 11.0.26 but not sure why it is not working at your end.

Does anybody have the same issue with latest patch version (11.0.26) of IE11?
Thanks,
Jun

This screen is displayed based on the user-agent from the http header.
Can you again use the dev tools, switch to the Network tab and begin capturing network traffic. Then goto the login screen. For my test running with compatability enabled you can see the string MSIE 7.0. It is this that causes the unsupported browser screen to appear (check the pyUnsupportedBrowsers when rule from the above PDN article)
For a system running in standards mode I see this:

We just tested this using update 11.0.26 and cannot reproduce the problem. It only occurs for us when the browser is running in compatability mode.
Some things to check:
- Have you really disabled compatability mode? Can you make sure pegacloud.com is removed from the screen below, and it is persisted. i.e. if you OK the removal, close the settings, browser and then reopen the compatability settings is it still there?
- Has the pyUnsupportedBrowsers when rule been customised in any way?
- Has the web-login (the login screen) HTML been customised? e.g. the out of the box version contains the below pega:when code at the top to check the pyUnsupportedBrowsers when rule.
Hi Jun,
As Marc and others have pointed out. Your symptoms are highly indicative that you have compatibility view turned on.
Check if it is because of intranet sites turned on. (Although I would not expect the cloud to be part of that)
If it is not that, then check if group policy has turned this on for you without you knowing. And the patch version of IE was a coincidence.

Some of developers with IE 11.0.26 were able to open login screen when they turned off intranet sites in Compatibility View. On the other hands some are still having issues to open login screen. I will make sure they turned off intranet sites in Compatibility View, and check their User-Agent when they are having unsupported screen.
pyUnsupportedBrowsers and web-login have not been customized.
Thank you for your supports.

Others are able to open a login screen when they turned off intranet sites in Compatibility View. Thank you very much for your supports.
However, I am curious why pegacloud.com was recognized intranet sites by IE11. Only IE 11.0.26 needs to turn off intranet sites in Compatibility View.
Thanks,
Jun
Jun,
When you say others are able to see login screen (are they using 11.0.26 or 11.0.24)? I still feel, irrespective of the patch version, if you DISABLE (in all manner) the compatibility view in your browser for the site that you are accessing, it should render properly. If that we need to look at it.
Definitely IE 11 will not recognize "pegacloud.com" as intranet sites automatically. It could something to do with the group policy or something like that which you need confirm from your IT.
Are you able to see the login screen now in 11.0.26 by following the above suggestion? If it is still an issue, then please share the screen shot with compatibility setting.

Hi Karuppan,
Both IE 11.0.26 and 11.0.24 are able to see login screen, if we DISABLE the compatibility view. The patch version was NOT a cause, it was just coincident.
Thank you for your advice,
Jun
