Does kafka-data folder store case data or any PII data

Dear Experts,

We are using embedded Kafka in our Pega environment. Does kafka-data folder store any case data or PII information?

We are planning to move kafka-data folder to a persistent volume(EBS). Client wants to know whether or not case data will be stored or only the metadata.
