Does Jenkins Deployment on multinode environment always requires server restart

Hi Team

We are currently on Pega 8.3.5 and it is a multi node environment. We take care of our deployments through Jenkins (CI/CD pipeline). Since there are 20+ nodes to restart , it takes quite an amount of time. Do we always need to restart the nodes post deployment? Please clarify.
