Disable expression and when not working in Table layout in 8.2.3

After upgrading to 8.2.3 we have noticed the Disable condition (both expression and when rule) is no longer working in a Table layout. Using a When condition (both expression and when rule) to completely hide the cell contents can be used as a workaround but would like to know if there is a fix for this available since users are accustomed to seeing the UI with the cell disabled.
